Meet the team
Abby Spicer
President
Abby is a Junior Apparel Design student who had no prior ballroom dance experience before joining the ballroom dance society in her freshman year. She has been been an active member of the officer team since the fall of 2019 and served as Vice President for two semesters before her election to President. Her favorite dance is Cha-Cha with tango and waltz tying as close seconds.
Abby loves musicals and can be caught randomly singing to herself when she thinks no one else is around. She also enjoys hand crafts such a sewing sketching, and beading.
Tyler Cox
Vice President
Prabhjot Thandi is a Junior Pre-Med Health Science Studies major who fills every second of his free time with something interesting and new. Seriously, he's in the leadership of like 3 different organizations. Prabhjot has been our president for three semesters now, and his passion for dance truly inspires us all.
Prabhjot moved here from Canada for Baylor, and his favorite guilty pleasure food is Pistachio ice cream (we think it's a Canadian thing? Idk man chocolate is obviously the best). His favorite dance is the waltz, and favorite Disney movie is Mulan.
Gaby Medina
Judicial Board
Gaby is a Senior Business major with a minor in leadership. She is often found exploring the outdoors or participating in other fun activities, such as Ballroom Dance or Swing!
Gaby has been a member of the Baylor Ballroom Dance Society for a year now, and this is her first semester as part of our leadership. Her favorite ballroom style is the Tango, solely because it's just about as saucy as she is. She has a weakness for Devil's Food Cake and Starbucks, and we completely support and enable her in this.
Joshua Turpin
Judicial Board
Joshua is a Graduate Student, studying a combination of Divinity and Church Music because he thinks sleep is not necessary. He was also our Founder back in his undergrad!
Joshua really enjoys watching movies, especially when friends are involved. He's bad at picking favorites, but when in a life-or-death situation, he would choose The Hunchback of Notre Dame, simply to make you watch it with him again. Joshua's favorite dance is the Waltz, and he is in love with Ballroom because it's a form of physical activity that also gives him an excuse to hang out with cool people like us.
Hannah Scholz

Hannah Scholz is a Senior Music Major who has been part of Ballroom in some capacity since her Freshman year. Hannah loves making music, making friends, and making puns. When she’s not studying, you can probably find her learning obscure languages, reading a good book, admiring a tree somewhere, or baking muffins. There’s muffin better.
